In February 2021, the Education Officer 2020-2022 wrote an open letter with over 5,000 signatures to the university, which resulted in the introduction of a No Detriment Policy and blanket 2-week automatic extensions for on all written coursework and deferrals granted.
The aim of this campaign was to ensure students were graded fairly and that the experience of a global pandemic caused no detriment to their students and results.
