Automotive Society

The Automotive Society’s purpose is to give everyone that is interested in the automotive industry a place to meet people who share the same passion, gain insight from industry professionals and share interesting experiences related to cars and motorcycles.

We are excited to bring society members a large range of activities in the coming academic year, such as trips to automotive museums and factory tours as well as continuing our regular meets and group road trips.

Aims

• Enhancing the employability of our members by providing different automotive projects in which they can get involved and expand their practical experience.

• To give opportunities to students that are interested in the automotive industry to expand their knowledge in the area by inviting guest lecturers, attending fairs that are relevant to the industry, and to get academic staff to actively support the society.

• Set up connections with companies that have a focus on the automotive industry, and to visit them with the aim of seeing how the industry works e.g. seeing their labs, the equipment they use, and their line of production.

• Provide a platform for students that are studying automotive related subjects to meet and discuss ideas and support each other in the area of their studies where they might have difficulties.

• To represent students at Coventry University that share an interest in the automotive industry and to give them the chance to meet like-minded students.

Membership Fee
Membership for the society is £5 for the whole academic year.
