Human Resource Management Society

This society is currently dormant. If you would be interested in becoming a committee member and running the society please email societies.su@coventry.ac.uk1

1. To provide members with employability support. We understand that each faculty provides their own employability support however we aim to target individuals who may have fallen through the ‘net’ or are unsure as to how to approach their job search. We will also draw upon our own experiences when giving advice relating to employment.
2. To facilitate socialising between members through holding bi-monthly meetings and organizing meet and greet sessions at Christmas and the end of the academic year. The first meeting of the month will hold discussions regarding management to develop business acumen, whereas the second meeting will be a social event and the activity will be determined through a members’ vote.
3. To ensure that our members benefit from community partnerships such as the Business Advisory Group and Coventry Open Christmas. We also aim to collaborate with other Coventry University societies to create a mutually beneficial relationship. These will include the Event Management and Marketing & Advertising Societies.
4. To collaborate with the Centre of Global Engagement and the Business Management course team to provide an international experience for students to broaden their horizons and gain global exposure.
5. To provide the opportunity to build relationships with alumni. We aim to facilitate the development of internal and external pilot mentorship schemes, built up of Coventry University alumni and our members.
