Tell us what could be improved about your student experience, what you want to see more of and how we can support you better.
The survey will be open for responses from 12 midday on Monday 7 April to 12 midday on Monday 2 June 2025.
Your Students’ Union exists to positively impact your educational experience. To do this, we need your input! We will use your feedback to shape your future experience by providing the services, events and activities you want to see. In last year's survey:
92% of students who filled out the survey said they knew how to engage with the SU.
70% of students said they were aware of at least one of the campaigns we ran.
This is great, but we want to do better! We are always striving to engage and support all students, so we want to review how we’re doing again this year and continue to improve.
We know it can feel repetitive filling out surveys, and sometimes it can feel like your response gets lost, but we promise we listen! Our staff team and Officers are dedicated to reviewing and analysing feedback and turning responses into actions.
Here are just some of the changes we’ve implemented in the last year in response to student insight. Some examples are wide reaching and some impact very specific groups, but all highlight how much we value student voice.
Last year you told us you don’t use Facebook and X as much, but you want to hear from us via WhatsApp. So, we’ve stopped posting on our Facebook/X accounts and launched a new WhatsApp channel.
When we asked what events you want more of, crafting was a popular choice, so we now put on a free, weekly crafting event with a different theme each week.
Last year, 30% of students asked in the survey didn’t know how to provide feedback on their experience. Since then, we’ve launched a bespoke online feedback platform to make feedback easier and more accessible, and you can track the progress of your feedback as it gets resolved or escalated too!
A group of students in one college building asked for sanitary products to be made available in the accessible toilet, so we’ve provided this! Don’t forget, we offer discreet, free period products to all students through our Advice Service too.
In previous years, students told us they wanted more affordable food and drinks on campus, and more part-time job opportunities. We have since taken on four different outlets across Coventry and London where we serve high-quality food and drink at budget-friendly prices. Most outlets have student staff working part-time in them too!
We really value your responses. As a thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, we’ve got over £500 worth of prizes to give away! All you need to do is complete the survey before the deadline and opt into the prize draw at the end and you could be in with a chance of winning:
*All students will be entered into the draw for the iPad but the vouchers are broken down by survey version – five for Coventry University or CU Coventry students, two for Coventry University London/CU London students and one voucher for CU Scarborough students. All information can be found within the T&C document.
We want to hear from all students - it doesn’t matter whether this is the first time you’ve heard about the SU or if you’re already a regular at our events! Share your thoughts by completing the survey and help us shape your future experience.
