Why are my results showing on Aula?

Results that are showing on Aula are classed as provisional marks; these marks could change through moderation and the ratification of grades at Progression and Assessment Boards (PABS). PABS are where your formal grades are confirmed.

Can I do anything about my marks before they are officially released?

Yes, you can prepare for an appeal if you were affected by one of the three grounds of appeal (read below). The appeal form cannot be submitted until the results have been released.

Once results are formally released, you have 10 working days to submit the appeal from the date of the release.

What are the grounds of appeal?

  • Procedural Irregularity: The university made a mistake or did not follow the regulations. For example, added up marks incorrectly.
  • Improper Assessment: Your marks were affected by prejudice or bias.
  • Extenuating Circumstances: You were affected by events outside of your control and could not apply for an extension or a deferral at the time. For example, you were very ill.
