Your Students’ Union

Your Students’ Union, including Your Advice Service, will be closed from 4pm on Friday 20^th December 2024 until Monday 6^th January 2025. Your Students’ Union Welcome Desk in The Hub will close at 3pm on Friday 20th December and reopen on Tuesday 7th January 2025.

If you need support with any academic, financial or housing issue, please complete an Enquiry Form and you will be responded to upon Your Advice Services’ return. The Out of Office response will outline where to access emergency support if needed.  

If you are without housing or are at significant risk of being without housing over the winter period, please contact Protection Services by calling +44 (0)24 7765 7363.

Student Wellbeing

You can get immediate emotional and mental health support, 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year through the University’s online platform Spectrum.Life.

Student Wellbeing Services will be closed from 21^st December 2024 and re-open on Monday 6^th January.If you require urgent on campus support, please contact Protection Services by calling +44 (0)24 7765 7363.  

Note: Student Wellbeing do not offer an emergency or crisis service. If you are feeling suicidal or experiencing a severe personal crisis that requires immediate attention, please contact the emergency services (999) or your doctor. The Samaritans have a 24-hour helpline, their number is 116 123.

Protection Services provide 24-hour emergency support: this number will reach the security services. Please call for any out-of-hours emergency and they will direct you to the best support available.

Digital Services

Support over 21 December 2024-5 January 2025 will be available via the Digital Services Portal and by telephone during the opening hours below.

We recommend only calling the Digital Services Centre directly when you have an emergency. Otherwise, please log a ticket via the Digital Services Portal. If it is an emergency, please call +44 (0)24 7765 1123 and we will be available to assist you.
