LGBT+ History Month is celebrated every February across the UK and it aims to recognise and celebrate the history, achievements and contributions of the LGBT+ community. The month serves as a platform to raise awareness, foster inclusivity and promote the understanding of diverse experiences within the LGBT+ comunity, as well as addressing ongoing challenges and advocating for equality and acceptance. Sport Coventry and YourSU are proud to celebrate our LGBT community this month, and always. 

To support these celebrations, Sport Coventry clubs will be lacing up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, fitness and physical activity through the Rainbow Laces campaign, a campaign run by Stonewall. Each of our clubs will be sporting the rainbow laces during our fixtures against Warwick University in the 34th edition of Varsity. We are determined to "Make Sport Everyone's Game" and to keep working towards a more inclusive University sporting environment! Varsity 2024 will take place on 24th February 2024, with over 20 teams participating in the annual contest against Warwick University for sporting bragging rights in the 'CV' area.
