On Wednesday 30th October, the Society Executive committee met to feed back on issues arrising over the past month, vote on any applications that were received and discuss upcoming events for societies.

One funding application was received this month with the committee voting to allocate the full amount requested, and there were six applications for Society of the Month. The committee were impressed with the quality of these applications, eventually deciding to award it to Manufactuuring society after careful consideration. It was also decided that the December meeting would be cancelled, with an additional meeting ocurring in January if needed due to applications. This is due to the December meeting being scheduled to fall on a University closure day. A committee mixer event was also proposed which was well-recieved, and Society Executive have agreed to work on it moving forward, aiming for it to take place early in the second semester.

The next meeting is due to take place on Wednesday 27th November - make sure you submit any funding requests and your nominations for Society of the Month before 9am on the day to be included on the agenda.
