In the wake of the devastating earthquake that has struck Myanmar, the Officer team, and everyone at Your Students' Union extend our deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with all those impacted by this tragic disaster.

This catastrophic event has resulted in thousands of lives lost, countless injuries, and the collapse of thousands of homes across the country. The ongoing impact is still being assessed, and the scale of this crisis has shaken communities both locally and around the world.

We know that this news has hit particularly close to home for our students from Myanmar, some of whom are currently facing immense personal distress. We want to acknowledge the pain of those who are worried about missing family members, those grieving for loved ones, and those coming to terms with the loss of homes and communities back home.

Please know that Your Students’ Union is here for you. If you’ve been affected by this crisis in any way, and need practical advice and guidance on how to deal with the challenges you are facing, our Advice Service is available to support you.
