External Scholarships for Home and International Students

With the rising costs of living and education, many students are struggling to afford essentials like housing, food, and transportation on top of tuition fees. Scholarships may ease that for students, making education more affordable and reducing financial stress. Here are a few external scholarships available to students:

1. GyanDhan Postgraduate Scholarship

  • Award: £1,000 (one-time)
  • Eligibility: Indian students admitted to a two-year postgraduate program in the UK.
  • Requirements: Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree from an Indian institution and may need to apply for an education loan through GyanDhan.
  • Submission Deadline: 30th July

2. Study a Master’s in Europe Scholarship

  • Award: €5,000
  • Eligibility: Open to students from any country applying for a master’s degree at a European university, including Coventry University.
  • Requirements: Must begin studies in the Fall semester in a country where the applicant is neither a citizen nor a resident.
  • Submission Deadline: 16 May

3. CRL Civil Engineering, Construction & Architecture Undergraduates Scholarship

  • Award: £1,000 for ten students annually
  • Eligibility: Undergraduates studying Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate high academic performance and can use funds for course materials and living expenses.
  • Submission Deadline : 31 October.

4. 1st Formations Business Scholarship

  • Award: £600
  • Eligibility: Business, Management, and Finance students pursuing either undergraduate or postgraduate studies in the UK.
  • Requirements: Strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship.
  • Submission Deadline: May 31.

5. Chevening Scholarship

  • Award: Fully funded (covers tuition, accommodation, travel, and living expenses)
  • Eligibility: International students from eligible countries, interested in postgraduate studies.
  • Requirements: selection based on academic and professional achievements, followed by an interview.
  • Open for applications until 5 November 2024, at 12:00pm.

7. Commonwealth Scholarships

  • Award: Full funding (covers tuition, airfare, and living expenses)
  • Eligibility: Students from developing Commonwealth countries pursuing postgraduate or doctoral studies.
  • Requirements: Selection is based on academic excellence and relevance of study to the home country’s development needs.
  • Submission Deadline: open till December

8. Marshall Scholarship

  • Award: Covers full tuition, living expenses, and travel
  • Eligibility: U.S. citizens pursuing postgraduate study in the UK.
  • Requirements: Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a U.S. college, have a minimum GPA of 3.7, and graduate after April 2021.
  • Submission Deadline: Open till January
