Everything you need to know about Your Students’ Union (SU) can be found here. For each intake, we plan a line-up of events, activities, and fairs to welcome you and help kickstart your university experience with unforgettable memories.
We also offer a range of support services to help you settle in. Whether you need advice on housing, finances, or academic issues when your course starts, our independent, confidential advice service is here to help.
Official freshers events include our Freshers Fair and Activities Fairs at the Hub. If you’re a CU Coventry student, we host events at your Mile Lane campus too!
We’ll update this page with dates of specific Freshers events for the next intake soon. In the meantime, there’s loads of information here that you should find helpful, no matter when you arrive.
The SU exists to enhance your experience as a student. We're independent from the university, non-profit and we’re here right from the moment you start through to graduation with events, opportunities, advice, campaigns and more.
If you are a Coventry University Group student, you’re automatically a member of the SU. Here’s just a quick snapshot of what we offer, and how you can get involved:
We’re run by students for students. You can give feedback via Student Reps, apply to be a Rep yourself, or stand in our annual elections to lead the SU in a full or part-time officer role.
We have societies, sports clubs and volunteering opportunities so you can try something new or continue something you love while making new friends.
Our independent Advice Service provides free, confidential advice on housing, finance and academic issues as well as wider support around safety, wellbeing and sexual health.
We facilitate student communities and run campaigns for positive change, helping to ensure your university experience is inclusive, safe and supportive.
Our skills team offer opportunities to broaden your knowledge and boost your employability with workshops, digital badges, placements, and awards to recognise your involvement in extra-curricular activity.
Until then, there are a few things you can do…
